Who We Are

  • For more than 45 years Radiology Associates of Albuquerque, PA (RAA) has proactively built upon changes in imaging to provide the best possible patient-centered experience.

RAA is a consortium of physicians from around the country, many of whom completed residency here in New Mexico. Our Mission every day is to provide compassionate, comprehensive, high quality imaging for patients and the referring community using the most innovative and advanced techniques available. Our Vision is to be the preeminent radiology group in New Mexico. Every physician is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology and has extensive experience in sub-specialties such as breast imaging, body imaging, cardiovascular, chest, emergency, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, head and neck, musculoskeletal, neuroradiology, pediatric, interventional, nuclear medicine and ultrasound.

As a proud partner with the Presbyterian Healthcare System for more than 30 years, RAA operates as a hospital-based radiology group providing professional services 24/7 to the Presbyterian facilities for Albuquerque, Belen, Clovis, Espanola, Rio Rancho, Socorro and Tucumcari. Additionally, RAA owns and operates four out-patient imaging facilities and also a mobile mammography unit.

Teleradiology technology is the platform RAA utilizes for the purposes of interpretation and consultation of radiological patient images. Teleradiology improves patient care by allowing radiologists to provide services without actually having to be at the patients location. This factor is important when sub-specialists are needed for specialty interpretation such as MRI’s, neurology, pediatrics and musculoskeletal. Through Teleradiology, images can be sent to another part of the hospital or to other locations around the world.

Quality

Quality can be defined in many ways and for RAA’s radiologists, it is ensuring the patients receive a timely, accurate diagnosis, in a safe environment, from a team of committed experts. RAA believes quality starts from within an organization. Both staff and radiologists demonstrate this quality from the moment a patient walks through the door and is continually measured on many levels throughout the patients imaging experience.

RAA has chosen metrics that best display all levels of our organization:
  • RADPEERTM
  • Patient Satisfaction Survey and Comments
  • Staff Accreditation
  • Technology Accreditation
  • Physician Quality Assurance Director
  • Corporate Compliance Officer

RAA recommends you be an informed consumer of healthcare. We have voluntarily gone through a rigorous review process to ensure we meet nationally accepted standards as set forth by the American College of Radiology. To view more please visit www.acr.org/
