James J. Montesinos, M.D.

James J. Montesinos, MD completed his undergraduate studies, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Lehman College, City University of New York, with a BS in Biochemistry. He received his MD from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan, and completed his residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NYC, NY.

Dr. Montesinos taught at his Alma Mater before continuing his academic career at Yale University School of Medicine, Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he was a Winchester Fellow in Breast and Thoracic Imaging. He then joined the faculty of LSU Medical School in New Orleans before eventually returning to New York.

At Rochester General Hospital, Dr. Montesinos was Program Director of the Rochester General Hospital Radiology Residency Program as well as Chief of Thoracic Radiology for ten years.

Dr. Montesinos is the principal radiologist, located on-site, at the Presbyterian Espanola Hospital. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Radiology, Society of Breast Imaging, RSNA and the American College of Radiology. Dr. Montesinos practices general radiology at Presbyterian Espanola Hospital in Espanola, NM as part of the RAA, PA and Presbyterian Healthcare Services partnership.
