COVID-19 Updates & Protocol

We know you’re concerned about the Coronavirus. Radiology Associates of Albuquerque serving High Resolution Imaging and RAA Imaging are committed to your health and safety.  We want to reassure you we are taking aggressive steps to minimize the risk of transmission of the virus in our outpatient locations. You can feel comforted knowing your medical imaging services will be performed in a clean environment with a focus on your safety and well being.

ENHANCED SCREENING:

Everyone who enters our facility will be screened; this will include having temperatures checked. This applies to all physicians, employees, patients, allowed guests and vendors. Any individual with a temperature of 100.0 F or more will not be allowed to enter the facility and will be guided to the appropriate resource for follow up.

We are requesting all patients who come for services arrive with a face covering or mask. We will provide a mask to those patients who arrive without one.  Each patient will also be given a pair of disposable gloves to wear during their visit.  This is meant to protect the patient and our physicians and employees in terms of high-touch objects and commonly touched areas/surfaces.   

VISITORS:

We ask that you do not bring guests or children with you to your appointment. We are restricting visitors and allowing only 1 visitor to accompany a patient if a patient requires additional care or assistance.

WAITING AREAS AND CHANGE ROOMS:

We are following recommended infection control measures.  We are thoroughly disinfecting and sanitizing all high-touch areas and surfaces, including the waiting rooms, sub-wait areas, bathrooms, and check-in and registrar areas. Patients will also be allowed to wait in their vehicle.  Our staff members will gladly call or text the patient when we are ready to serve them.

Chairs have been removed and spaced to allow for six feet of space between waiting patients. Frequently touched items such as magazines, children’s toys and the coffee stations have been removed. Gowns and patient totes used for personal effects are laundered after every use. Hand-sanitizer is available in our waiting rooms and throughout the facility for everyone’s use throughout the day.

HIGHTENED DISINFECTION PROCESS:

While we have always followed stringent infection control protocols in our imaging suites, we have implemented additional disinfecting measures to ensure our outpatient imaging locations are clean and safe. All exam and procedure rooms are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each patient’s exam. The disinfectants used are proven to be effective in killing the virus that causes COVID-19 and other pathogens.

Our Radiologists, Technologists and support staff continue to wash their hands before and after every exam. Our employees wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during every patient exam. We monitor our PPE supply and inventory to ensure a stable supply is readily available to all of our imaging locations.
