Luis V. Centenera, MD

Dr. Centenera earned his medical degree from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey and then completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at The Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Centenera served as a fellow in Diagnostic Neuroradiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, then served as a fellow in Interventional Neuroradiology at the Neurovascular Center at The Lahey Clinic Medical Center and Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He has worked on staff at the University of New Mexico Hospital Department of Radiology and Lovelace Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Dr. Centenera was the Official Personal Physician, Interventional Radiologist to President George W. Bush during his visit to New Mexico. He was the Co-Director of the Vascular/Interventional Radiology Fellowship Program at the University of New Mexico Radiology Residency Program.

In 2006 Dr. Centenera joined Radiology Associates of Albquerque. He has extensive experience in the diagnosis, management and treatment of vascular and non-vascular diseases. Dr. Centenera performs a full spectrum of vascular and non-vascular diagnostic and interventional radiology services. Considered expert in minimally invasive spine surgery, Dr. Centenera has lectured and instructed physicians in Vertebroplasty and Kyphoplasty for the treatment of compression fractures of the back.

Dr. Centenera is currently Chief of Neuroradiology at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque and is a senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology and received his Certificate of Added Qualifications in Neuroradiology.
